Saitec project in Spain

Saitec from Spain has developed a floating foundation for large size offshore wind turbines in deep waters. The project is a demo of the system with a XEMC turbine. It comprises:

A prestressed concrete hull (4) stabilized by heave plates (5) rotating around a single mooring point (1). The tower (2) is integrated with  a frame structure (3)

Contribution to the model development turbine and floater and calculation of combined wave and wind loads. The turbine used is a XE96-2MW. The installation is scheduled September 2021.

XD115 5MW Direct drive windturbine

This is Darwind's offshore dedicated 5MW direct drive wind turbine with a rotor diameter of 115m.

XE128 5MW Direct drive windturbine

Darwind's offshore dedicated 5MW wind turbine with a rotor diameter of 128m for medium wind speed sites

XD140-4MW Direct drive windturbine

With a 140m rotor and 4MW nominal output the XD140 is Darwind's choice for medium windspeed locations.

XE93-2MW Direct drive windturbine

The XE93 is ideal for low wind speed locations. Its sealed design makes it optimal in even the harshest environments.
